Naveen Kalia is the founder and president of Surex Capital LLC, bringing over two decades of senior leadership across global banking, capital markets, institutional treasury, quantitative finance, and energy markets. His career spans some of the world's most consequential financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
Prior to founding Surex Capital, Naveen held executive roles at institutions including Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and TD Bank, where he led multi-disciplinary programs in structural hedging, balance-sheet management, and regulatory transformation — including programs at a $1.4 trillion financial institution. He has worked directly with the Federal Reserve, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the CFTC, the SEC, the Bank of Canada, and OSFI.
In the energy sector, Naveen has advised on ethanol, biodiesel, renewable diesel, RINs, electricity, petroleum, and agricultural markets, as well as carbon markets and energy-transition policy. His rare combination of front-office markets expertise, institutional finance depth, and regulatory fluency positions Surex Capital to serve both private sector clients and US government agencies at the highest level.
